Jazmin Goodwin is a visual storyteller currently based in New York, NY. She is a magna cum laude graduate from Howard University, where she studied journalism and graphic design.

Born in Germany and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, she has wrote and contributed digital content for various publications including Axios, Washington City Paper, Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, CRWN Magazine, Her Agenda and SheKnows Media.

A creative and conscious foward-thinker, Jazmin has a knack for solving problems and driving solutions at the intersection of media, tech and entrepreneurship. While gaining experience in hands-on roles, she was influenced to start her own platform COZY GIRLZ, a community platform aimed at creating an inclusive on and offline space for women in male-dominated industries. She recently received a grant from Villanova University’s Waterhouse Family Institute to carry out her social venture.

In her freetime she enjoys attending tech hackathons, making DJ mixes for SoundCloud, tending to her blog and cultivating new ways to empower women.

She is currently pursuing her MA in Journalism at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY as the first-ever Ida B. Wells Society Scholar.
